Somewhere in the life of LEEP, something went wrong.
In order to survive and thrive as a functional object it had to adapt to this situation with remarkable deformations as a result.
This mutation creates a strange optical effect and gives LEEP a character trait of a living organism, leaving the observer wondering what happened.
LEEP is made out of local "citytrees" that were saved from the shredder, then built by local craftsmen and finished with environmentally friendly coating.
The word LEEP is very old dutch word for crooked. Hundreds of years ago it was occasionally used in architecture to indicated an optical illusion: making a crooked door or window look straight from the point of view of the passer-by.
